Egnatia motorway program is part of the pan-European transportation corridors. The road is crossing horizontally Northern Greece with a length of 670 km and a width of 24.5 m (or 22 m along mountainous adverse sections). The motorway runs from Igoumenitsa to Kipoi and crosses five regions: East Macedonia & Thrace, Central Macedonia, West Macedonia, Epirus and Thessaly.
Race has engaged in various segments of the Egnatia program by designing feasibility studies, preliminary designs and detailed designs in a total length of 190km.
OLYMPIA motorway program involves the financing, construction and repair, as well as the operation over 30 years, of 365 Km of toll motorways linking Athens to Tsakona in the south-west of the Peloponnese, via Corinth and Patras. Of the total, 82 Km already exist, 120 Km need to be renovated and widened, and 163 Km of new motorway will be built over a period of six years. They include the construction of 19 Km of tunnels and more than 400 works of art (to be made from scratch or renovated) as well as twenty interchanges. The work is carried out by a consortium consisting, in particular, of Vinci, Hochtief, J&P-Avax, Aktor, and Gek-Terna.
Race has engaged in the Korinthos-Patra segment of the Olympia program by designing preliminary designs in a total length of 120km, and detailed designs in a total length of 86km.
PATHE motorway program is part of the pan-European transportation corridors. The road is crossing vertically eastern Greece with a length of 550 km and a width of 24.5 to 32.5 m. The motorway runs from Athens (South end) to Evzonoi (North end) and crosses 4 regions: Attica, Central Greece, Thessaly and Central Macedonia.
Race has engaged in various segments of the Egnatia program by designing preliminary designs and detailed designs in a total length of 80km.
Race has engaged in numerous projects in EMEA region. The variety of our engagements covers the transportation infrastructure spectrum from highways, railways and airports to urban development.
Our engagements covered different phases of the design process from feasibility studies to detailed designs and the majority of them concerned in design-build contracts.
For each project we choose we always answer the following 3 questions:
Is the project DESIRABLE? (Is the cost/benefit risk analysis valid?)
Is the project VIABLE? (Can the project deliver the design?)
Is the project ACHIEVABLE? (Can the design provide the benefits?)
For the big majority of our engagements below the design project were a success (from the triple constraint's point of view - Scope, Time, Cost); but only few of them provided the benefits to our clients.
Sustainable value creation and value capture for our clients is what we passionately seeking for.
